India, July 31 -- Guar gum futures advanced on Friday, with the August contract on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX) gaining Rs 105, or 0.92%, to Rs 11,540 per quintal.
The rise was supported by firm demand in the physical market and increased buying by traders, who expanded their positions in anticipation of sustained strength in spot prices.
