India, Sept. 17 -- Guar gum prices rose by Rs 79 to Rs 12,668 per quintal in futures trade on Thursday, supported by firm demand in the spot market and increased buying by speculators.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar gum contracts for September delivery gained 0.63% to Rs 12,668 per quintal, with an open interest of 490 lots.
Analysts said the firm trend in the physical market prompted traders to raise their positions, supporting guar gum futures.
