India, Aug. 31 -- Guar gum futures rose Rs 248, or 1.95%, to Rs 12,940 per quintal on Monday, supported by firm demand in the spot market and increased buying by speculators.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar gum contracts for September delivery traded at Rs 12,940 per quintal, with an open interest of 38,590 lots.
Analysts said a firm trend in the physical market encouraged traders to increase their positions, providing further support to guar gum futures.
