India, Aug. 27 -- Guar gum futures prices rose Rs 7 to Rs 12,041 per quintal on Thursday, supported by firm spot demand and increased positions by speculators.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar gum contracts for September delivery gained Rs 7, or 0.06%, to Rs 12,041 per quintal, with an open interest of 51,605 lots.

Analysts said a firm trend in the physical market prompted traders to increase their bets, supporting the rise in guar gum futures prices.
