India, Oct. 1 -- Guar gum futures rose Rs 103, or 0.79%, to Rs 13,037 per quintal on Thursday, supported by firm demand in the physical market and increased buying by speculators.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar gum contracts for November delivery traded higher at Rs 13,037 per quintal, with open interest standing at 39,495 lots.

Market analysts attributed the rise to strong spot-market demand, which encouraged traders to increase their positions.
