India, July 2 -- Guar gum prices declined in futures trade on Thursday as traders reduced their holdings amid weak demand in the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar gum contracts for July delivery fell by Rs 31, or 0.27%, to Rs 11,374 per quintal, with a business turnover of 38,100 lots.

According to market analysts, subdued demand in the spot market and ample supplies from producing regions weighed on guar gum prices.
