India, Oct. 23 -- Guar gum futures fell by Rs 249, or 1.55%, to Rs 15,836 per quintal on Friday as traders offloaded their holdings amid a weak trend in the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar gum contracts for November delivery traded at Rs 15,836 per quintal, with an open interest of 66,440 lots.

Market participants attributed the decline to subdued spot demand and ample supplies from growing regions.
