India, March 24 -- Guar gum prices fell by Rs 39 to Rs 10,158 per quintal in futures trade on Tuesday as traders reduced their positions, tracking a weak trend in the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar gum contracts for April delivery slipped by Rs 39, or 0.38 per cent, to Rs 10,158 per quintal, with a trading volume of 52,210 lots.

Market participants said subdued demand in the physical market, along with ample supplies from producing regions, exerted pressure on prices.
