India, March 17 -- Guar gum prices dropped by Rs 55 to Rs 10,076 per quintal in futures trade on Tuesday, as traders reduced positions amid a weak trend in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, April delivery contracts fell Rs 55, or 0.55 per cent, to Rs 10,076 per quintal, with an open interest of 58,755 lots.
Market participants attributed the decline to subdued demand in the spot market along with sufficient supplies from key producing regions, which continued to weigh on prices.
