India, Oct. 19 -- Guar gum futures fell by Rs 290, or 1.77%, to Rs 16,050 per quintal on Monday, as market participants offloaded their holdings amid a weak trend in the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar gum contracts for November delivery declined Rs 290 to Rs 16,050 per quintal, with a trading volume of 73,885 lots.

Market participants attributed the decline to sluggish spot market demand and ample supplies from growing regions, which weighed on prices.
