India, May 21 -- Government of India will conduct an underwriting auction for the sale of government securities worth Rs 32,000 crore on May 22, 2026.

The auction will include the re-issuance of three government securities — 6.03% GS 2029 worth Rs 11,000 crore, 6.68% GS 2033 worth Rs 11,000 crore, and 7.24% GS 2055 worth Rs 10,000 crore.

Under the existing underwriting framework, each Primary Dealer (PD) will have a Minimum Underwriting Commitment (MUC) and a minimum bidding obligation under the Additional Competitive Underwriting (ACU) auction. The MUC for the 2029 and 2033 securities has been set at Rs 262 crore per PD, while the 2055 security carries an MUC of Rs 239 crore per PD.
