India, Aug. 13 -- The Government of India, through the Spices Board, is implementing the Sustainability in Spice Sector through Progressive, Innovative and Collaborative Interventions for Export Development (SPICED) scheme to boost exports of spices, including turmeric. The initiative covers a range of measures such as implementing food safety and quality assurance certifications, upgrading post-harvest quality, supporting processing and value addition, and conducting training programmes to enhance quality and encourage entrepreneurship.
