India, Oct. 8 -- Gold prices on Wednesday surged Rs 1,109 to a new all-time high of Rs 1,22,220 per 10 grams in the domestic futures market, as investors sought safe-haven assets amid growing global economic uncertainties and a dovish outlook from the US Federal Reserve.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), December gold futures jumped Rs 1,109, or 0.91%, to reach the record level of Rs 1,22,220 per 10 grams.

Extending gains for the ninth consecutive session, the February 2026 gold futures contract also rose Rs 1,085, or 0.88%, to hit a lifetime high of Rs 1,23,469 per 10 grams.
