India, Oct. 1 -- Gold futures rose Rs 1,475, or 0.99%, to Rs 1,50,511 per 10 grams on Thursday, supported by firm demand in the spot market and fresh buying by market participants.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold contracts for October delivery traded at Rs 1,50,511 per 10 grams, with 2,019 lots changing hands.

Analysts attributed the rise to fresh positions created by traders, which supported gold prices during the session.
