India, July 6 -- Gold futures slipped on Monday, with the August contract declining Rs 68, or 0.11%, to Rs 1,47,310 per 10 grams on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX).
The contract recorded a trading volume of 416 lots, as softer demand in the spot market weighed on prices. Analysts attributed the decline in the precious metal to weak spot buying, which kept gold futures under pressure.
