India, Aug. 17 -- Gold prices moved higher in futures trading on Monday, with prices rising Rs 676 to Rs 1,55,182 per 10 grams, supported by firm demand in the spot market and fresh position building by traders.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold contracts for October delivery advanced Rs 676, or 0.44%, to trade at Rs 1,55,182 per 10 grams. The contracts recorded a business turnover of 1,111 lots.
Market analysts attributed the rise in gold futures to fresh positions taken by participants, along with steady demand for the precious metal.
