India, July 21 -- Gold futures rose on Tuesday, with the August contract gaining Rs 988, or nearly 1%, to Rs 1,42,376 per 10 grams on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX).
The rally was supported by firm global trends as investors tracked diplomatic efforts to ease the US-Iran conflict, boosting demand for the safe-haven metal. Fresh buying by market participants also contributed to the gains.
