India, July 6 -- Glenmark Pharmaceuticals has announced the launch of its generic Olanzapine for Injection (10 mg/vial) in the US market. The medication is indicated for the treatment of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
The product, launched by the company's US subsidiary, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Inc., USA, is available as a 10 mg/vial single-dose injection. According to the company, the generic formulation is bioequivalent and therapeutically equivalent to the reference product, Zyprexa Intramuscular Injection (10 mg/vial), marketed by Cheplapharm Registration GmbH.
