India, June 5 -- Glenmark Pharmaceuticals announced that its US subsidiary has launched Lacosamide Injection USP, 200 mg/20 mL (10 mg/mL), Single-Dose Vials in the United States.
The product is bioequivalent and therapeutically equivalent to Vimpat Injection, the reference listed drug marketed by UCB. Lacosamide is used in the treatment of certain seizure disorders and epilepsy-related conditions.
According to IQVIA data for the 12-month period ended April 2026, the branded Vimpat Injection market recorded annual sales of approximately $15.2 million, providing a revenue opportunity for generic manufacturers.
