India, June 9 -- The Government e-Marketplace has emerged as a key pillar of India's digital governance framework, driving transparency, efficiency and inclusivity in public procurement since its launch in August 2016.

The platform has transformed government procurement from a largely manual and fragmented process into a digital, data-driven ecosystem, enabling transparent bidding, online contract management and streamlined procurement processes. By reducing human intervention and simplifying access to government contracts, GeM has broadened participation across businesses of all sizes and geographies.
