India, Feb. 1 -- Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman met President Droupadi Murmu on Sunday for the customary pre-Budget meeting ahead of presenting her record ninth Union Budget in the Lok Sabha.
Following the long-standing tradition, the meeting was held at Rashtrapati Bhavan before she proceeded to Parliament.
Earlier in the day, Sitharaman posed for photographs with her Budget team outside her office at Kartavya Bhavan. Dressed in a magenta silk saree, she carried a tablet enclosed in a red pouch bearing the national emblem, accompanied by the Minister of State and all six secretaries of the Finance Ministry.
