India, Oct. 13 -- The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has extended the deadline for filing the Electronic Challan-cum-Return (ECR) for the wage month of September 2025 by one week, allowing employers to submit returns till October 22, 2025.
Employers are normally required to file ECRs by the 15th of every month. However, following the launch of EPFO's revamped ECR system—effective from September 2025—and considering employers' requests for additional time to adapt to the new system, the extension has been granted, the Ministry of Labour said in a statement.
