India, Sept. 25 -- EaseMyTrip has introduced electric buses in Bhopal through its electric mobility arm, Easy Green Mobility (EMTev), as part of its broader Vision 2030 strategy. The company aims to build the capacity to manufacture 5,000 electric buses annually within the next five years.
The Bhopal deployment marks an important step in EMTev's plans to develop an integrated electric mobility business covering bus manufacturing, fleet operations, servicing and increasing localisation of components. The initiative builds on the operational experience of YOLO Bus, EMTev's operating arm, which runs conventional intercity bus services in several southern markets.
