India, June 11 -- DigiLocker, the Government of India's digital document wallet platform under the Digital India initiative, has significantly expanded its utility services by onboarding 68 electricity distribution companies (DISCOMs) and power departments across the country.
The integration enables electricity consumers in 35 States and Union Territories to access their electricity bills directly through the DigiLocker platform. Users can now securely retrieve digitally authenticated bills issued by their respective electricity service providers without the need for physical documents, emails, or visits to utility offices.
