India, May 22 -- Dalmia Bharat Limited announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited (DCBL), has signed a Business Transfer Agreement with Jaiprakash Associates Limited and Adani Infra (India) Limited for the acquisition of cement assets with a total capacity of 5.2 million tonnes per annum (MnTPA) in the Central region.
The acquisition, valued at Rs 2,850 crore, includes cement plants located in Rewa (Madhya Pradesh), and Churk, Chunar, and Sadwa (Uttar Pradesh), along with 3.3 MnTPA clinker capacity. The deal also covers 99 MW of thermal power capacity and railway siding infrastructure at select locations.
Following the acquisition, Dalmia Bharat's total cement capacity will rise to 54.7 MnTPA. Ongoing expan...
