India, Aug. 10 -- Crude oil prices rose 0.69% to Rs 7,475 per barrel in futures trade on Monday, supported by firm spot demand and fresh positions taken by market participants.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), crude oil contracts for August delivery gained Rs 51, or 0.69%, to trade at Rs 7,475 per barrel, with a business turnover of 2,729 lots.

Analysts said the increase in positions by traders helped keep crude oil prices firm in the futures market.
