India, July 30 -- Crude oil futures recovered from early losses to trade higher on Thursday as renewed geopolitical tensions in West Asia raised concerns over potential supply disruptions.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), August crude oil futures rose by Rs. 110, or 1.36%, to Rs. 8,224 per barrel, while the September contract gained Rs. 75, or 1%, to Rs. 7,973 per barrel.
The recovery in prices mirrored gains in global oil benchmarks after reports of fresh US airstrikes on Iran reignited fears of supply risks in the region.
