India, Oct. 5 -- Crude oil futures declined sharply on Monday, tracking weak global trends and softer demand in the physical market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), crude oil contracts for October delivery fell Rs 256, or 2.87%, to Rs 8,660 per barrel, with a business turnover of 12,220 lots.
Analysts said the decline was driven by participants unwinding their positions amid weak spot-market demand, weighing on crude oil prices.
