India, Oct. 24 -- Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd has received a Letter of Award from the New & Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Ltd (NREDCAP) for executing an EPC contract under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.
The project involves the design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and five-year operation & maintenance of 2KW solar rooftop systems aggregating to 77.40 MWp of grid-connected rooftop solar (RTS) plants. The initiative aims to solarize 38,699 SC and ST households across five divisions of Andhra Pradesh — Kovur, Tirupati Rural, Puttur, Chittoor (Urban), and Chittoor (Rural) — through a utility-led aggregation (CAPEX) model.
