India, Jan. 7 -- Cottonseed oil cake prices edged lower in futures trade on Wednesday as participants trimmed positions amid weak demand conditions in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), cottonseed oil cake contracts for January delivery declined by Rs 2, or 0.06 per cent, to Rs 3,204 per quintal, with open interest at 20,610 lots. The contract had settled at Rs 3,206 per quintal in the previous session.
Analysts attributed the marginal decline to selling pressure at prevailing levels, driven by subdued market sentiment and soft spot market trends, which weighed on cottonseed oil cake prices.
