India, March 5 -- Coriander prices surged Rs 370 to Rs 11,642 per quintal in futures trade on Thursday as traders increased positions following a firm trend in the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, coriander for April delivery rose Rs 370, or 3.28%, to Rs 11,642 per quintal in 18,210 lots.

Market analysts said firm demand in the spot market and limited supplies from producing regions supported the rise in coriander prices.
