India, Nov. 5 -- Coriander prices rose Rs. 258, or 1.64%, to Rs. 16,068 per quintal in futures trade on Thursday, supported by higher demand in the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), coriander contracts for December delivery traded higher at Rs. 16,068 per quintal in a turnover of 16,645 lots.

Market analysts attributed the price rise to strong spot demand and restricted supplies from producing regions.
