India, April 9 -- Copper prices declined on Thursday, with futures falling by Rs 4.20 to Rs 1,197.20 per kg amid subdued demand in the domestic spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for May delivery slipped Rs 4.20, or 0.35 per cent, to Rs 1,197.20 per kg, with a business turnover of 157 lots.

Traders attributed the decline to weak demand from key consuming industries in the domestic market.
