India, March 10 -- Copper futures advanced on Tuesday, supported by improved demand in the spot market, with prices rising by Rs 7.45 to Rs 1,222.30 per kilogram.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for April delivery increased by Rs 7.45, or 0.61%, to Rs 1,222.30 per kg, with a trading volume of 281 lots.

Market analysts said the uptick in prices was mainly driven by fresh positions created by traders amid firm physical demand.
