India, July 27 -- Copper futures advanced 0.26% to Rs 1,335.40 per kg on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on Monday, supported by firm demand in the spot market.
The July delivery contract gained Rs 3.45 to Rs 1,335.40 per kg, with a business turnover of 1,026 lots.
Analysts said the rise in copper prices was driven by increased buying activity and fresh positions taken by market participants.
