India, Jan. 13 -- Copper prices moved marginally higher in futures trade on Tuesday, supported by firm spot demand and increased buying by market participants.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for February delivery rose by Rs 2, or 0.15 per cent, to Rs 1,334.95 per kg, with a business turnover of 6,326 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions taken by traders amid steady physical market demand helped copper prices trade slightly higher.
