India, Dec. 16 -- Copper futures on Tuesday slipped by Rs 4.20 to Rs 1,116.45 per kg as participants pared their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for January delivery declined Rs 4.20, or 0.37%, to trade at Rs 1,116.45 per kg, with a turnover of 4,755 lots.

Analysts said the fall in prices was driven by reduced positions taken by market participants amid subdued demand.
