India, April 24 -- Copper prices edged lower in Friday's futures trade, slipping 25 paise to Rs 1,292.15 per kilogram amid muted demand in the domestic spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for May delivery declined by 25 paise, or 0.02%, to Rs 1,292.15 per kg, with a business turnover of 1,205 lots.

Market participants attributed the dip to subdued demand from key consuming industries, which continued to weigh on copper prices in the futures segment.
