India, Oct. 19 -- Copper futures fell by Rs 2, or 0.14%, to Rs 1,399 per kg on Monday, weighed down by subdued demand in the domestic spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for October delivery declined Rs 2 to Rs 1,399 per kg, with a trading volume of 6,841 lots.

Traders attributed the decline to weak demand from domestic consuming industries, which weighed on copper prices in futures trade.
