India, Oct. 16 -- Copper futures prices moved higher on Friday, supported by firm demand in the spot market and increased buying activity among traders.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for October delivery gained Rs 8.80, or 0.63 per cent, to trade at Rs 1,407.60 per kg. The contracts recorded a trading volume of 1,569 lots.
