India, Aug. 4 -- Copper futures rose on Tuesday, supported by firm demand in the spot market and fresh buying by market participants.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), August copper contracts gained Rs 13.20, or 0.98%, to Rs 1,360.45 per kg, with a business turnover of 2,449 lots.

Analysts said the rise in copper prices was driven by fresh positions built by traders amid improving demand in the physical market.
