India, June 15 -- Copper futures traded higher on Monday, supported by firm demand in the physical market and increased buying activity by market participants.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange of India, copper contracts for June delivery gained Rs 10.65, or 0.8 per cent, to Rs 1,341.95 per kg, with a trading turnover of 1,605 lots.

According to market analysts, the rise in copper prices was driven by stronger spot demand and fresh positions created by traders, which helped support the upward movement in futures prices during the session.
