India, July 10 -- Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav inaugurated the Centre of Excellence (CoE) on Human–Wildlife Conflict at the Wildlife Institute of India–SACON campus in Coimbatore and launched the National Human–Wildlife Conflict Portal to strengthen conflict mitigation across the country.

The newly established Centre of Excellence will serve as a national hub for research, policy support, innovation, capacity building, and dissemination of best practices to enable scientific and evidence-based management of human–wildlife conflict.
