India, Aug. 19 -- The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, has approved the construction of a 6-lane Access-Controlled Capital Region Ring Road (Bhubaneswar Bypass – 110.875 km) in Odisha under the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM), with a total capital outlay of Rs 8,307.74 crore.
At present, connectivity between Rameshwar and Tangi on the existing National Highway faces heavy congestion due to high traffic passing through urban centers like Khordha, Bhubaneswar, and Cuttack.
