India, Oct. 5 -- BMW Industries Limited (BMWIL) has commissioned its Colour Coating line at its Greenfield Downstream Steel Complex in Bokaro, Jharkhand, marking the start of the first phase of the project and a key step in its move towards becoming an integrated, value-added downstream steel producer.

The Bokaro complex is being developed at a total project cost of Rs 803 crore and will include capacities for Cold Rolled Full Hard (CRFH), Galvanized/ Galvalume/ ZAM (GA/GI/ZAM) and Colour Coated steel. The facility is expected to enable BMWIL to offer a broader range of value-added coated steel products.
