India, Oct. 14 -- Biocon Ltd has entered into a global settlement and licensing agreement with Genentech concerning Pebrilzo, its biosimilar candidate to Perjeta (pertuzumab), a reference drug used in breast cancer treatment.
According to a regulatory filing, the agreement resolves all pending patent disputes between the two companies across multiple jurisdictions, including the United States and Canada.
Under the settlement terms, Biocon can launch Pebrilzo in the European Union and the United Kingdom in the first quarter of calendar year 2027. The US launch is planned for the third quarter of 2028.
