India, June 19 -- BCPL Railway Infrastructure Limited has received a new order worth Rs 4.62 crore from the Sealdah Division of Eastern Railway for railway electrification and allied works.
The project involves the design, drawing, supply, and erection of 25 KV overhead equipment (OHE), along with associated electrical works and modifications to existing OHE infrastructure. The work is linked to the extension of platforms at multiple stations under the Sealdah Division and is scheduled to be completed within 12 months.
Commenting on the development, Executive Director and CFO Uday Narayan Singh said the platform expansion project is expected to improve passenger safety, accommodate longer trains, and handle increased passenger traffic.
