India, July 22 -- Bajel Projects Ltd has formalised an agreement with the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) for the construction of two contiguous sections—Lot 1 and Lot 5—of a 500 kV overhead transmission line in Egypt. The agreement was signed at a ceremony held in Cairo, marking a significant milestone in the company's international expansion.
The combined contract is valued at over Rs. 400 crore and forms part of Egypt's national grid reinforcement programme aimed at strengthening the country's high-voltage transmission network and supporting rising power demand from economic and industrial growth.
