India, Dec. 8 -- Automobile retail sales maintained strong momentum in November, with overall registrations rising 2 percent year-on-year, supported by healthy demand for passenger vehicles, three-wheelers, commercial vehicles and tractors, according to FADA.

Total vehicle registrations stood at 33,00,832 units in November, compared to 32,31,526 units in the same month last year.

FADA noted that festive events such as Deepawali and Dhanteras fell at the end of October last year, pushing a large portion of registrations into November and boosting volumes significantly.
