India, June 12 -- Aluminium prices moved higher in futures trading on Friday, supported by positive trends in international markets and improved sentiment across the global metals space.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), aluminium contracts for June delivery gained Rs 2.20, or 0.59%, to trade at Rs 377.25 per kg, with a turnover of 3,059 lots.
Market participants attributed the rise to strengthening global metal prices and fresh buying interest from traders, which helped support the upward movement in aluminium futures. Positive sentiment in overseas markets continues to provide momentum to base metal prices.
